A tracker, not a protocol

Peak week is the most individual part of a prep. What works for one athlete can flatten another, which is why this template doesn't prescribe anything. It gives you a place to write down the plan you set for a specific client, and what actually happened each day.

Changes to water and sodium carry real health risks. This tracker records them when a qualified coach prescribes them; it doesn't recommend them.

How to use it with a client

  • Fill in the plan first. Before the week starts, write each day's planned carbohydrate, water, sodium and training, so the client knows what's coming.
  • Log every morning. Weight, sleep and a photo at the same time each day give you something to compare.
  • Score the look. A simple 1 to 10 next to each day's intake shows you which day the client looked best, and what led up to it.
  • Keep it for next time. The finished tracker is the starting point for that client's next show.

In CoachPilot, the daily numbers live in the client's meal plan and check-ins, next to your messages. For how to plan the week, read the coach's guide to peak week. For the weeks before peak week, use the contest prep check-in template, and see contest prep coaching software.

Questions, answered

It is a day-by-day log for the last week before a bodybuilding show. For each day the coach records what was prescribed and what happened: bodyweight, carbohydrate, water and sodium intake, training, and how the client looked. It keeps the week's decisions and results in one place.

No. It is a tracker, not a protocol. It records the plan a coach sets for an individual client and what actually happened. It makes no recommendation about carbohydrate, water or sodium.

It has a row for each day from 7 days out to show day, with 15 columns per day.

Because the record is what makes the next prep better. A coach who has logged what a client ate, drank and weighed each day, next to how they looked, can see how that client responded and plan the next show from evidence instead of memory.

Yes. It unlocks on this page when you sign up, which takes a name and an email, with no payment and no commitment. You can download it as a CSV or print it.
